The Yanks Air Museum occupies a 176,000-square-foot facility on 10 acres at Chino Airport, housed in a historic 1950s hangar at the west end of the runway. Its hangars display over 190 aircraft, from a replica 1903 Wright Flyer to an F/A-18 Hornet of the Blue Angels, including World War II fighters, dive bombers and torpedo bombers such as the P-51A Mustang, SBD Dauntless and F6F Hellcat.

The museum was founded in 1972 to preserve American aviation heritage. Its collection documents the evolution of aircraft and their significance in military and civilian contexts across multiple generations.

The museum holds one of the largest collections of American military aircraft, including World War II fighters, dive and torpedo bombers such as the P-51A Mustang, P-40 Warhawk, SBD Dauntless and F6F Hellcat. Many of these aircraft were built in Southern California. On the first Saturday of each month, Flight History Days display aircraft that contributed to aviation history, with the programme starting at 10:00.

The museum sits at the west end of the runway at Chino Airport in a hangar dating from the 1950s, covering about 170,000 square feet. Supervised access is allowed into the main restoration hangar and the boneyard, where aircraft sit in various stages of work. On the first Saturday of each month the museum holds Flight History Days, with the program starting at 10:00.

A special feature of this collection is that many of the aircraft are not only restored but brought to airworthy condition. The craftspeople use original materials and manufacturing specifications from the time these machines were built.
