Corona

Corona is a residential city in Riverside County, California, located where Interstate 15 and State Route 91 cross in the inland region. Suburban neighborhoods stretch across low hills and flatlands, interspersed with commercial strips, schools, and industrial zones that line the major highways.

The town was formally incorporated in 1896 and quickly became a center for growing citrus fruit in Southern California. During the 20th century, the economy shifted from agriculture to manufacturing and residential development, expanding steadily outward along the highway corridors.

The name comes from the circular Grand Boulevard that wraps around the historic center, originally designed as a carriage loop. Community events and outdoor markets take place throughout the year, drawing families from nearby neighborhoods who gather in parks and public spaces.

Visitors reach most parts of the city by car via the two main highways, and parking is usually available near shopping centers and public facilities. Summer days can be very hot, so mornings or evenings are more comfortable for outdoor activities or walking around neighborhoods.

Two globally recognized companies, Monster Beverage and Fender Musical Instruments, keep their main offices here. These production facilities and office complexes dominate entire blocks in the industrial area and employ thousands of workers from the surrounding region.
