Wrigley Mansion, Historic mansion in Phoenix, United States
Wrigley Mansion is a residence in Phoenix, Arizona, set on a hillside above the city and designed in the Spanish Colonial Revival style with courtyards and arcades. The rooms spread over two floors and open onto several terraces that offer views across the surrounding area.
The property was built between 1929 and 1931 following a design by architect Earl Heitschmidt, who created a winter residence for a Midwestern industrialist. Over the following decades the house changed ownership several times before opening to host social events.
The name recalls William Wrigley Junior, a businessman whose family lived at the property in the 1930s. Today the restaurant on the grounds welcomes guests to California-inspired fine dining that draws on regional ingredients and contemporary techniques.
The property now operates as a private club with access for members and their guests as well as for events such as weddings or corporate gatherings. Visitors interested in touring the grounds or attending public programs can inquire in advance about availability.
Some of the tiles used in construction came from a factory on Catalina Island owned by the original owner, which produced ceramics for projects across California. Mules carried the materials up the hillside because roads at that time were not yet built for heavy vehicles.
