Monument to the Mexican People, Cultural monument in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico
The red and metallic Monument to the Mexican People rises 64 meters into the sky, forming an X-shaped structure near the Rio Grande border.
The monument, inaugurated in 2013, marks the binational relationship between Mexico and the United States at the international border of Ciudad Juarez and El Paso.
Mexican sculptor Sebastian created this structure to represent the meeting point of different cultures and the rich identity of the Mexican people.
The monument stands at the intersection of Heroico Colegio Militar Avenue and Juan Pablo II Boulevard, with regular bus services connecting to downtown Ciudad Juarez.
The monument serves as both a geographical marker visible from two countries and a gathering space for cultural events throughout the year.
