Boomerang, Steel roller coaster in Mexico City, Mexico
The Boomerang is a steel roller coaster at Six Flags México featuring a V-shaped track layout with three inversions that send riders upside down. Trains carry 28 passengers across seven cars and reach speeds of 76 kilometers per hour during the ride.
The ride was built by Vekoma in 1984 and originally operated in the Rafaela Padilla park in Puebla. It moved to Six Flags México in 1988 where it has operated ever since.
The coaster carried the name Escorpión from 1992 to 1999, showing the Spanish language presence that shaped the Mexican amusement park's identity.
Riders must be at least 122 centimeters tall to board this coaster for safety reasons. It is wise to secure loose items before riding and review height requirements at the station entrance.
This coaster pulls riders backward up a 36-meter lift hill before releasing them through loops and inversions. The entire course then repeats in reverse, creating a unique backward-forward experience.
