Edificio Latino, Office building in downtown Monterrey, Mexico
The Edificio Latino is an office building in downtown Monterrey standing 110 meters high across 30 floors with an additional 25-meter antenna structure. It features a reinforced concrete frame and contains approximately 11,400 square meters of office space throughout its levels.
The building was completed in 1965 and remained the tallest structure in the Monterrey metropolitan area until 1991. After that period, it continued as an important landmark of the city's early skyscraper development.
The building represents a pivotal moment in Monterrey's architectural development as one of the first skyscrapers to shape the city's commercial district. Its appearance reflects the modern style of the 1960s.
The building features nine elevators and two underground parking levels for convenient vehicle storage. Public spaces are well-designed for easy navigation and movement throughout the structure.
With its antenna included, the Edificio Latino reached a total height of 140 meters and dominated Monterrey's skyline for decades. It lost its position as the city's tallest building only when Torre CNCI was completed in 2000.
