The Basilica de Nuestra Señora del Roble features a modern architectural design with overlapping walls and can accommodate 2,500 worshippers at once.
The construction of the basilica began on May 30, 1978, and architects Pedro Ramírez Vázquez and Antonio Elosúa Muguerza completed the project in December 1982.
The basilica holds special ceremonies in December, when thousands of pilgrims gather for traditional dances, mariachi performances, and religious celebrations.
Located at Calle Guanajuato 715 Sur in Colonia Independencia, the basilica maintains regular mass schedules and provides community services throughout the year.
The main altar contains a piece of rock from Tepeyac Hill, establishing a direct connection to the original site of the Virgin of Guadalupe apparition.
