John T. Floore Country Store is a single-storey dance hall and store building in Helotes, Texas, with a long green facade and a wide, flat roof edge. Across the top, a long sign reads "FLOORE COUNTRY STORE" in green letters on white; below it hang white rectangular signs with red and black lettering advertising homemade tamales, bread, sausage, country butter and eggs, and Saturday-night dances with big-name country and western swing bands. A dark metal railing and ramp sit at the base.

The building opened in 1942 as a general store serving travelers on the road between San Antonio and Bandera. Over time, the owner began booking local musicians, and the store gradually shifted into one of the best-known music spots in South Texas.

John T. Floore, formerly manager of San Antonio's Majestic Theater, booked stars such as Ray Price, Bob Wills, Johnny Cash and Ernest Tubb here by the 1950s. Willie Nelson, who calls the store his "musical birthplace", performed monthly under a partnership with the Willie Nelson Music Company and names Floore in his single "Shotgun Willie".

The venue sits in Helotes, close to the western edge of San Antonio, and is best reached by car. For popular shows in the outdoor area, arriving early makes it easier to find a good spot.

The outdoor grounds can reportedly hold several thousand people at once, making it one of the larger open-air spots of its kind in Texas. At the same time, the interior has kept much of the feel of an old store, with original details still visible.
