Road Runner Express, Steel roller coaster at Six Flags Fiesta Texas, US
Road Runner Express is a steel roller coaster at Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio, Texas. The track runs through the natural terrain of the park, with several turns and lift sections built around the existing landscape.
The coaster was designed in 1997 by Arrow Dynamics under engineer Alan Schilke. It was built as part of the park's expansion into a multi-ride venue.
The name comes from the Looney Tunes cartoons, and the Crackaxle Canyon themed area displays these references throughout. Signage and queue design convey the spirit of this classic cartoon character.
Riders must be at least 42 inches (107 cm) tall and are secured with a lap bar before the ride starts. Loose items should be stored beforehand, and staff instructions apply throughout the ride.
The track was built around the natural terrain of the park rather than flattening the ground first. This means the rail path follows rises and dips that would not exist on a flat construction site.
