Poltergeist

Poltergeist is a steel roller coaster at Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio featuring multiple inversions across its green-painted track. The layout includes a cobra roll, sidewinder, and corkscrew within its compact structure.

The coaster opened in 1999 and replaced a golf course that had operated at the site since the park's establishment. It was designed by Premier Rides and became a signature attraction for the park.

The ride draws inspiration from supernatural elements that appear in its theming and station decorations throughout. Visitors encounter this eerie aesthetic as they move through the area.

The coaster uses linear induction motors for launching instead of traditional chain lifts, enabling rapid acceleration. An air-conditioned queue line provides shelter during wait times, particularly helpful in hot weather.

The ride received a major refurbishment in 2021 with a completely new air-conditioned queue, transforming the waiting experience. This update also connected the attraction to the nearby Dr. Diabolical's Cliffhanger ride through shared theming.
