Moody Mansion, Historic mansion in Galveston, US.

The Moody Mansion spans 28,000 square feet across four floors, featuring Romanesque Revival architecture with intricate woodwork and stained glass windows throughout the structure.

W.L. Moody Jr. acquired this 1895 mansion after the Great Galveston Storm of 1900, establishing it as the center of his financial empire in cotton, banking, and insurance.

The mansion contains original furnishings and personal items from the Moody family, presenting the domestic life of Texas business leaders during the late 19th century.

The mansion opens daily from 10 AM to 5 PM, offering self-guided tours for adults at $15 and special access guided tours of restricted areas on Fridays and Saturdays.

British architect William H. Tyndall designed the exterior while New York firm Pottier & Stymus created the interior decorations of this National Register landmark.
