The Grand 1894 Opera House features Romanesque Revival architecture with red stone walls, brick details, and terra cotta ornaments at 2020 Post Office Street.
After surviving the 1900 Galveston Hurricane, the theater transformed from live performances to a cinema before returning to its original purpose in 1974.
The venue presents regular performances ranging from classical music to contemporary theater, featuring artists such as Tony Bennett and Ray Charles.
The box office operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with additional hours starting one hour before each performance.
Mötley Crüe selected this historical theater as the filming location for their music video 'Without You' in 1990.
