Hopper Field

Hopper Field is a sports stadium in Freeport featuring a west-side stand and artificial turf playing surface. The facility accommodates around 6,400 spectators and includes a video scoreboard for match information.

The facility opened in 1949 and has hosted countless regional high school championships since its beginning. Its history reflects decades of local athletic competition and community support.

This stadium serves as a gathering place for the local high school athletic community within the Brazosport Independent School District. Families and students come together to watch and support their teams compete.

The stadium is located on West 2nd Street and provides dedicated parking and wheelchair-accessible entry points. Arriving early gives you time to find parking and settle into the stands before events begin.

A major upgrade in 2015 transformed the field with modern artificial turf and a new electronic scoreboard system. These improvements updated the facility while preserving its role as a regional sporting hub.
