The Ion District, Innovation district in Midtown Houston, United States.

The Ion District is a commercial district in Midtown Houston, United States, focused on technology and business growth. The area holds several multi-story buildings with office spaces, lab areas, and meeting zones designed for start-ups and established companies.

A former Sears department store was redeveloped beginning in 2021 to create the new center. Rice University and the City of Houston worked together on developing the site.

The district integrates local restaurants operated by minority and women business owners, reflecting the diversity of Houston's culinary landscape.

The main building on Main Street offers workspace and event rooms that visitors can explore during the day. Parking and public transit reach the district easily since it sits centrally in Midtown.

Over 930 applications came in for tech training courses organized here through partnerships with several education organizations. These programs target people without formal training in the field.
