Reckling Park, Baseball stadium at Rice University in Houston, United States
Reckling Park is an outdoor baseball stadium on the campus of Rice University in Houston, Texas. The field sits within a grandstand that wraps around the infield, with open grass areas along the outfield for additional viewing.
Reckling Park opened in 2000, replacing Cameron Field, which had served as the home of Rice baseball since the late 1970s. The move gave the program a larger facility while keeping it on the university campus.
The stadium is home to the Rice Owls baseball team and draws students, alumni, and local fans throughout the season. Games here have a relaxed college feel, with crowds gathering around the field in a setting that feels more neighborhood than professional.
The stadium is on the Rice University campus and easy to reach on foot from the main grounds. Arriving early on game days is a good idea, as parking around the campus can fill up quickly.
Under coach Wayne Graham, Rice won the College World Series in 2003, which is rare for a small private university competing against much larger programs. That title remains the only national championship in the program's history.
