Fifth & West Residences is a residential tower with 39 floors and 154 units located in downtown Austin, ranging from one to four-bedroom apartments. The building features a distinctive triangular shape on a square podium base and sits within the Shoal Creek floodplain area.

Construction started in December 2014 and faced delays from the 2015 Memorial Day floods, with final completion in December 2018. The project had to overcome significant foundation challenges caused by the floodwaters before the tower could open.

The structure respects Austin's Capitol View Corridor rules while creating shared spaces where residents gather and interact. You can see how the design fits into the surrounding neighborhood while providing places for people to meet and connect.

The building offers a pool, skydeck, dog park, media lounge, fitness studio, and round-the-clock concierge service for residents. Keep in mind that the location sits in a floodplain, so access routes can be affected during heavy rainfall.
