The Northshore, Mixed-use skyscraper in downtown Austin, US.
The Northshore is a 38-story mixed-use tower in downtown Austin that combines residential units with ground-floor retail and office spaces. The building anchors the Second Street District and houses major grocery stores and numerous restaurants within its structure.
The tower was developed on the site of a former water treatment facility and was completed in 2015 after construction began in 2014. This adaptive reuse project marked a turning point for downtown Austin's redevelopment and attracted investment to the Second Street District.
The building reflects Austin's shift toward denser urban neighborhoods, mixing residential, retail, and office uses in a single structure. This approach has reshaped the Second Street District into a vibrant hub where people live, work, and shop within walking distance.
The building provides direct access to major grocery stores and diverse dining options located on its lower levels and ground floor. Everything you need is within the building itself, making it easy to shop and eat without going outside.
The building achieved Silver LEED certification, reflecting Austin's commitment to sustainable construction practices. An elevated pool on the eighth floor offers views across the surrounding landscape and nearby water features.
