Palmer Events Center, Exhibition center in Downtown Austin, United States
The Palmer Events Center encompasses 125,000 square feet of space with two column-free exhibit halls and outdoor canopies near Butler Park.
The center originated from an aircraft hangar purchased by Austin in 1940, which transformed into the City Coliseum before becoming the current facility.
The center functions as a central gathering point for Austin residents, hosting numerous community events, festivals, trade shows, and exhibitions throughout the year.
The location provides access to 11,000 hotel rooms and maintains multiple meeting spaces, exhibition areas, and an outdoor pavilion for various functions.
The facility operates entirely on renewable energy through Austin Energy's Green Choice Program and diverts half of its waste through recycling initiatives.

Austin bears no resemblance to any other Texas city. Here, music escapes from bars before dusk, food trucks mingle with concert halls, and parks stretch to the Colorado River. As Texas's capital and self-proclaimed live music capital, the city brings together students, artists, and travelers seeking that unique energy found only here. Between its museums, natural swimming pools, and vibrant neighborhoods, Austin is explored on foot, by bike, or to the sound of a guitar. From Zilker Park to the Capitol, from South Congress to East Sixth Street, each place tells a part of this free and inventive local culture. A city apart, balancing nature, creativity, and the simple pleasure of outdoor living.
