Antioch Baptist Church

Antioch Baptist Church is a brick church building on Texas Avenue designed in the Romanesque Revival style. It features rounded arched windows and a prominent bell tower that rises above the neighborhood.

The congregation formed in 1866 when a group of Black members separated to establish their own church. The building was completed in 1903, marking an important moment in the community's development.

This church serves as a gathering place where the local Black community of St. Paul's Bottoms comes together for services and community events. It reflects the neighborhood's identity and remains deeply rooted in people's daily lives.
