Holy Trinity Catholic Church is a Romanesque Revival building in Shreveport housing 60 stained glass windows and a main altar of Italian marble. The interior displays this careful craftsmanship throughout its spaces.
The first church on this site was founded in 1856 by Father Jean Pierre, but the present building dates to 1896. This structure replaced two earlier buildings that had occupied the location.
Two priests, Father Jean Pierre and Father Isidore Quemerais, died caring for the sick during the 1873 Yellow Fever outbreak. Their sacrifice remains part of the parish memory and shapes how the community sees this church.
The church sits on Marshall Street and remains open for visitors to explore its historic interior. The communion rail is still in place for those wanting to see how the space was traditionally arranged.
The building incorporates two Gothic Revival side altars salvaged from a former local church. These reused elements connect the area's church history within a single space.
