The Pensacola Beach Water Tower is a water tower located near Casino Beach in Pensacola Beach, Florida. It features a distinctive beach ball design painted in bright colors and stands as a recognizable landmark near the Gulfside Pavilion.
The structure was built in 2005 and transferred to local Island Authority in 2007. This transfer reflected a shift in community responsibility for maintaining the landmark.
The tower is painted in bright beach ball colors that make it instantly recognizable to anyone walking or driving along the shore. Locals and visitors alike use it as a natural meeting point and navigation landmark when exploring the beach area.
The tower is located near Casino Beach and is easily accessible on foot from the shoreline and surrounding streets. Visit during early morning or late afternoon when sunlight brings out the beach ball colors most vividly.
A matching beach ball tower once stood on the eastern side of the island but was removed in 2007. This made the remaining structure a one-of-a-kind landmark that locals fought to preserve.
