Fort Sinquefield, Historical fort in Clarke County, Alabama.

The wooden stockade fortification near Grove Hill features earthworks and defensive walls constructed according to early 19th-century military specifications.

Local pioneers built this defensive structure during the Creek War of 1813, where it served as protection against Red Stick Creek warriors.

The fort site contains markers placed by Clarke County school children in 1931, documenting the Kimbell-James incident of September 1813.

The fortification site remains in private ownership, with limited public access and portions of the original structure now submerged underwater.

Following the Fort Mims attack, this fortification provided shelter to several pioneer families and Lower Creek members before its eventual abandonment.
