Praia das Taquaras

Praia das Taquaras is a wide beach with golden sand and deep waters that slope gradually into the sea, ideal for swimming and fishing. The right side has restaurants and access facilities, while the left section remains quieter.

A small fishing community settled here in earlier decades and shaped the original character of this place. The beach remained largely natural as the area developed slowly, with fishing serving as its backbone.

Fishermen work these waters regularly, and their catch shapes what you find in nearby restaurants and local tables. The connection between the sea and daily meals remains central to how people here live and eat.

The beach is located south of the city center and is easily accessible by local roads. The right side with restaurants and facilities is the best starting point, while the left section invites exploration of quieter areas.

The southern end opens to Canto do Santinho, a hidden sandy cove reached by forest trails and featuring a natural pool surrounded by trees. This isolated spot remains unknown to most visitors.
