Dimitri Sensaud de Lavaud Museum

The Dimitri Sensaud de Lavaud Museum occupies a 19th-century mansion built by Italian immigrant Antonio Agu for banker Giovanni Bricola, showing northern Italian architectural features and marble details. The building stands on Avenida dos Autonomistas and preserves original construction materials including Riga pine wood and Carrara marble throughout.

In 1910, engineer Dimitri Sensaud de Lavaud conducted Latin America's first flight from this location, flying a self-constructed aircraft named São Paulo. This event marked a milestone in the region's early aviation history.

The collection displays photographs, antique furniture, and objects from residents that show how Osasco grew and changed over time. These items tell the story of daily life in the city through different periods.

The museum is located on Avenida dos Autonomistas and visits should be arranged in advance, as opening hours may change during holidays and maintenance work. It is best to verify access conditions and visiting requirements before planning your trip.
