Palacete Veridiana da Silva Prado, Heritage mansion in Higienópolis, São Paulo, Brazil
The Palacete Veridiana da Silva Prado features French Renaissance architecture with Italian influences, spanning 3,500 square meters of built area and 5,000 square meters of gardens.
Built between 1883 and 1884, the mansion belonged to Veridiana da Silva Prado, who acquired the land in 1879 and named it Vila Maria after her lady-in-waiting.
The residence hosted numerous intellectual gatherings during the late 19th century, with notable visitors including scientists, physicians, and Emperor Pedro II of Brazil.
The property, now owned by Iate Clube de Santos since 2008, maintains its original architectural elements and serves as a venue for social events.
The mansion includes the preserved mural painting 'Aurora' by Almeida Junior and a marble sculpture 'Diana' by Victor Brecheret as part of its heritage protection.
