The Laguna Art Museum contains over 3,500 artworks spanning from the early nineteenth century to present-day creations by California artists.
Founded in 1918 as the Laguna Beach Art Association, the institution constructed its first dedicated gallery building in 1929 under president Edgar Payne.
The museum maintains exhibitions that rotate every three to four months, presenting both historical and contemporary works from California-based creators.
Located steps from the Pacific Ocean, the museum welcomes visitors Thursday through Tuesday from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM throughout the year.
The Art & Nature program connects artistic expression with environmental elements through outdoor installations, exhibitions, lectures, and community festivals.
