New Orleans Square

New Orleans Square is a themed area in Disneyland that recreates 19th-century Louisiana architecture with wrought iron balconies, curved pathways, and multi-story buildings. The space houses two major attractions—Pirates of the Caribbean and The Haunted Mansion—along with shops and dining venues throughout.

The area opened in 1966 as one of the last major projects developed under direct oversight. The space shows how design principles of that era shaped new park sections during that period.

Street musicians play jazz throughout the area while visitors experience the French Quarter through restaurants serving Louisiana food. This mix creates a living connection to the musical and cooking traditions of the region.

The area is easy to navigate with clear pathways leading to major attractions. Visitors can stop for meals at the restaurants or browse shops scattered throughout while exploring the space at a relaxed pace.

Club 33, a private membership restaurant, sits on the second floor with hidden entrances accessible only to members. This exclusive space goes unnoticed by most visitors even though it has been part of the park since its early days.
