Avengers Campus is a themed area within Disney California Adventure Park in California based on Marvel stories. The facility includes several rides and dining areas that spread across a compact zone connected by replicated streets.
The themed area opened in June 2021 on the site of a former insect-themed zone and was the first permanent Marvel installation in a California Disney park. The opening took place after several delays due to the pandemic and marked a new phase of brand integration at the park.
The name refers to the superhero training facility where visitors meet characters such as Doctor Strange in costume. The grounds feature buildings and props from the Marvel universe, including the Avengers Quinjet and the Stark Industries watchtower.
Most attractions suit families with children, although individual rides require minimum height limits. Those who arrive early in the day usually find shorter waiting times and more opportunities to meet characters.
Spider-Man appears on rooftops during the day performing acrobatic stunts with animatronic robots. Visitors can also watch Doctor Strange conduct small magic demonstrations in the Ancient Sanctum zone.
