Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars is a steel coaster at Hong Kong Disneyland featuring a 88-foot-tall mountain constructed from cement designed to resemble natural rock formations and weathered wooden structures. The 1,100-meter track winds through multiple tunnels and mine shafts with animatronic bears positioned throughout the route.

Hong Kong Disneyland expanded in 2009 with three new themed areas, and this coaster officially opened in July 2012 as part of that development. It was created to introduce a new style of attraction that combined storytelling with thrilling ride mechanics.

The ride incorporates Chinese numerology, with the mountain's height representing good fortune in local traditions. Visitors notice these symbolic details as they move through different sections of the attraction.

The queue area winds through a mine shaft environment with themed elements that build anticipation before boarding. The approach is fairly accessible with clear pathways, making it straightforward to navigate to the loading station.

Three animatronic bears named Rocky, Mother Lode, and Nugget trigger track changes during the ride by activating automated switches that cause sudden directional shifts. These unexpected maneuvers happen as the mine cars interact with the positioned bear figures along the route.
