One Shoreline Plaza, Modern office complex in downtown Corpus Christi, United States.
One Shoreline Plaza is a modern office complex on Shoreline Boulevard in Corpus Christi, Texas, made up of two towers, with the south tower rising 28 floors and dedicated entirely to office use. The building reaches about 410 feet (125 m) in height, making it one of the tallest structures in the city.
The project was originally planned in 1982 as a combined hotel and office development, but economic pressures forced a change in direction before construction was complete. It opened in 1988 as a purely office building and has been part of the city's downtown waterfront ever since.
One Shoreline Plaza is one of the most recognizable buildings along the Corpus Christi waterfront, visible from many points along the bay. Locals and visitors alike use it as a reference point when moving around the downtown area.
The building sits on North Shoreline Boulevard and is easy to reach by car, with parking options nearby along the waterfront. Since it is an active office building, visitors can only access the common areas, and entry may be limited outside of regular working hours.
Although the building was partly designed to house a hotel, not a single hotel room was ever completed, as the Texas oil crisis caused the financing to collapse before that portion was built. The towers have been used as office space from the very start of their operation.
