Florida Botanical Gardens

Florida Botanical Gardens is a 150-acre complex featuring formal gardens, native plant habitats, and natural landscapes across Pinellas County. The grounds include 25 distinct display areas focused on native species, herbs, and tropical plants.

The gardens were established by Pinellas County Parks and Conservation Resources Department to showcase Florida's natural resources. The project was created with educational goals to help visitors understand local ecosystems and plant diversity.

The Majeed Discovery Garden provides hands-on spaces where children connect with plants through play and exploration. These zones show how nature fits into everyday experiences and learning.

The gardens open daily from 7 AM to 5 PM with free admission and parking available year-round. Two main entrances at Ulmerton Road and Walsingham Road provide convenient access to the grounds.

The Music Forest is a rare feature where visitors can create sounds through natural elements and specially designed installations. This interactive zone blends music and plants in an unexpected way.
