The Bank of America Plaza contains 42 floors constructed with modern materials rising to a height of 175 meters in Downtown Tampa's skyline.
The structure opened in 1986 under the name Barnett Plaza and held the title of tallest building in Tampa until 100 North Tampa surpassed it in 1992.
Located in Tampa's Central Business District, the building represents the commercial growth and architectural development of Florida's business landscape during the 1980s.
The office tower provides 783,930 square feet of rentable space, with each typical floor offering approximately 20,000 square feet for commercial tenants.
On January 5, 2002, the building endured an aircraft impact when a stolen Cessna crashed into its structure, resulting in only the pilot's death.
