Temple Terrace, Residential city in Hillsborough County, Florida, United States
Temple Terrace features sand live oak trees throughout its streets and offers views of the Hillsborough River at an elevation of 18 meters.
The city, established in 1920, took its name from the Temple orange, a hybrid fruit developed with contributions from William Chase Temple.
Florida College occupies several original buildings in Temple Terrace, including the former Country Club Clubhouse where Billy Graham studied in the 1930s.
The Temple Terrace Public Library, opened in 1959, provides resources and services to residents through various community programs.
The Temple Terrace Golf Course remains unchanged since its 1920s design and hosted the Florida Open championships in 1925 and 1926.
