Baird Hardware Company Warehouse

The Baird Hardware Company Warehouse is a brick building with industrial design from the late 19th century located on South Main Street in Gainesville. It preserves its original architectural features while functioning as a theater venue that hosts performances and cultural events.

Established in 1890, the warehouse supplied the growing city with building materials and tools during Gainesville's rapid expansion in the early 20th century. It served as a commercial hub in the town's economic life for many decades until its later conversion.

The building now hosts the Acrosstown Repertory Theatre, bringing theater productions and community events into what was once purely a place of commerce. This conversion has given the space a new social purpose while maintaining visible traces of its working-class past.
