Northeast Gainesville Residential District is a historic neighborhood in Gainesville featuring homes constructed from the late 1800s through the mid-20th century. The buildings display various architectural styles including Colonial Revival, Craftsman, and Mid-century Modern arranged throughout the residential area.

The neighborhood grew from the late 1800s as Gainesville developed and residents built homes for their families in this expanding area. Construction continued through the early-to-mid 20th century, creating a community that developed gradually over several decades.

The neighborhood displays residential architecture from multiple building periods, from Victorian and Colonial Revival styles to Craftsman and Mid-century designs. This variety of homes reflects how the tastes and construction methods of residents evolved over the decades.

The district's northern park was renamed Tom Petty Park in 2018, and in 2019 a state historical marker approved by the Florida Historical Marker Council was placed in the neighbourhood honouring the musician, who grew up here and died in 2017.
