J. B. Evans House, Colonial Revival residence in Delray Beach, Florida.
The two-story wooden house features horizontal clapboard on the first floor, board and batten siding on the second, and a low-pitched hip roof with composition shingles.
Built in 1936 during the Depression era, the J. B. Evans House earned its place on the National Register of Historic Places in March 2002.
The building now operates as the Sandoway Discovery Center, offering marine life exhibits, coral reef pools, and educational programs about coastal ecosystems.
Located at 142 South Ocean Boulevard, the center maintains a collection of shells and hosts live reptile exhibits for visitors to explore.
The structure incorporates a combination of wooden 6/6 double-hung sashes and protective louvered shutters throughout its irregular floor plan design.
