James D. and Alice Butler House, Mediterranean Revival residence in Deerfield Beach, Florida.

The Butler House features hollow tile walls, interior plaster finishes, and a Spanish terracotta tile roof at 380 East Hillsboro Boulevard.

The house, constructed in 1923 by Gulfstream Lumber Company of Delray for $10,000, became a Florida Historic Site in 1974 and joined the National Register in 1995.

The architectural design originated from a September 1923 Ladies Home Journal issue, selected by Alice Butler to create their family residence.

The Deerfield Beach Historical Society maintains the property as a museum, opening monthly for public visits and hosting community events throughout the year.

The property contains original 1923 wicker furniture, a lion's paw bathtub, and flapper-era hats, with a century-old Banyan tree in the grounds.
