The Royal Park Bridge spans across the Intracoastal Waterway, connecting West Palm Beach with Palm Beach through a double-leaf bascule mechanism.
Built in the early twentieth century, this bridge underwent significant renovations to replace damaged timber pilings and strengthen its structural integrity.
The bridge serves as a central point for community gatherings and provides access to numerous waterfront venues between Palm Beach and West Palm Beach.
The bridge opens every hour and half-hour for marine traffic, with special schedules during weekday peak hours at 7:45, 8:45, 4:00, 4:45, and 5:45.
Marine vessels can request bridge openings through VHF Channel 09 or by using a specific horn signal pattern of one long and one short sound.
