Via Mizner

Via Mizner is a gallery passage in Palm Beach that connects Worth Avenue to Peruvian Avenue through a series of linked buildings with white stucco facades. The complex spans multiple levels and contains roughly 20 retail shops alongside residential apartments arranged along interconnected walkways.

The complex was designed in 1923 by architect Addison Mizner, who shaped Palm Beach's distinctive appearance through his Mediterranean-inspired designs. It was officially recognized as a historic site in the United States during 1993.

The architecture displays curved clay tile roofs, irregularly placed windows, and wrought iron details that give the passage a Mediterranean feel. Wooden balconies and whitewashed walls create the impression of strolling through a European seaside village rather than an American shopping gallery.

The passage consists of several interconnected building sections that you can explore on foot at your own pace. Plan time to wander through the various walkways and courtyards to fully experience the layout and details.

At the heart of the complex stands a five-story tower where Mizner himself operated his architecture office, furnished with sixteen windows overlooking the town. This tower serves as a quiet reminder of the architect's hands-on approach to shaping this distinctive destination.
