Paramount Theatre, Movie theater in Palm Beach, United States
The Paramount Theatre features a silver and green color scheme, with a facade that combines Moorish Revival and Spanish Colonial Revival architectural elements.
Architect Joseph Urban designed this theater in 1926, incorporating residential spaces, a restaurant, shops, and offices to create a central entertainment complex.
The theater's grand opening in January 1927 presented the film Beau Geste with Ronald Colman, accompanied by a 16-piece orchestra and Wurlitzer organ.
The theater contained 1,080 seats in the orchestra level and 156 balcony box seats, making it Palm Beach's largest entertainment venue of its time.
The building transformed from a movie palace to the Paramount Church, and in 2021 new owners acquired it for 14 million dollars for restoration.
