Society of the Four Arts, Botanical and sculpture gardens in Palm Beach, Florida
The Four Arts Gardens combines botanical displays with outdoor sculptures across 2.2 acres along the Intracoastal Waterway in Palm Beach. The grounds present numerous tropical plants and artworks arranged throughout a connected green space.
The gardens were founded in 1936 when eight people, mostly women, designed the original layout. This was created to demonstrate various landscape styles suited to South Florida's climate.
The Philip Hulitar Sculpture Garden displays works by international artists throughout the grounds. Visitors also find demonstration gardens that showcase Chinese and Spanish landscaping traditions.
The gardens are open daily from 10 AM to 5 PM and offer free admission for all visitors. Self-guided tour materials are available at entry points to help you explore the grounds.
A moonlight garden features plants selected for their nocturnal characteristics and silver foliage designed for viewing under moonlight. This thematic section offers a distinctive experience for evening visits.
