Chattahoochee State Park, State park on Florida-Alabama border in Houston County, United States.
Chattahoochee State Park is a state park located where Florida and Alabama meet, featuring a spring-fed lake called CC Pond that covers approximately 23 acres. Tall pine trees and natural rock formations line the shoreline and surrounding woodland.
The Civilian Conservation Corps developed the site during the 1930s by constructing a stone dam that created CC Pond and establishing road systems. This early infrastructure became the foundation for the park's recreational development.
The land near the park marks the location of a significant 1818 battle during the First Seminole War between American forces and native tribes.
The park offers fishing, walking trails, and picnic areas scattered around the lake with easy access throughout the grounds. Spring and fall provide pleasant conditions for exploring the woodland paths and water features without summer heat.
In 1962, an angler set a record at CC Pond by catching the largest red-ear sunfish ever documented in the region.
