The Greek Revival mansion at Greenwood Plantation features twenty-eight towering columns surrounding a two-story residence set among moss-covered oak tree alleys.
Architect John Wind completed the construction of Greenwood Plantation in 1844 for Thomas and Lavinia Jones, creating a representation of antebellum architecture.
The plantation has served as a filming location for numerous productions, including 'Louisiana,' 'North & South,' and 'GI Joe II,' showcasing its architectural grandeur.
The 5,200-acre property maintains 1,000 acres of old-growth longleaf pine trees and provides spaces for corporate meetings and special events.
Jacqueline Kennedy found sanctuary at Greenwood Plantation in February 1964, following the presidential assassination, and returned again in 1967.
