Tifton Residential Historic District

Tifton Residential Historic District is a residential neighborhood containing over 600 historic buildings and structures spread across several city blocks. The homes display various architectural styles from the late 1800s through the mid-1900s.

The neighborhood developed between 1890 and 1930 when it was built with Queen Anne and Craftsman style homes. This building period shaped the character and appearance of the entire district.

The churches here display different architectural styles that frame the streets, with one featuring Romanesque arches and the other showing Gothic elements. You notice how residents have woven these older buildings into their daily neighborhood life.

A 42-acre park within this area features a stone archway built in 1934 that honors a former mayor. This gateway is one of the defining landmarks that many visitors overlook while exploring the neighborhood.
