Alamere Falls, Waterfall in California
Alamere Falls is a rare 'tidefall', a waterfall that flows directly into the ocean.
The name 'Alamere' comes from the Spanish words 'ala', meaning 'wing', and 'mere', meaning 'sea'.
It's located within the Point Reyes National Seashore, a significant natural preserve in the United States.
The falls can be reached via a strenuous 13-mile round-trip hike.
Alamere Falls is one of only two tidefalls in California.
