Marin Museum of Bicycling

The Marin Museum of Bicycling displays bicycles from the 1800s to today, including road, track, touring, and mountain bikes from different eras. The collection lets visitors trace how bicycle design and technology changed over more than 150 years.

The museum was founded in 2013 by volunteers to preserve bicycle history through exhibits and long-term loans. The oldest bikes in the collection date to 1868 and show the beginning of modern bicycle technology.

The Mountain Bike Hall of Fame section shows how mountain biking became important to the region and what role it plays in local sports culture. Visitors see original bikes and historical photos that demonstrate how this sport developed and grew in the area.
