Nourse Theater

The Nourse Theater is located in Hayes Valley and features Spanish Revival architecture with seating for 1,687 people across its spacious auditorium. The space includes multiple levels with a grand interior design that creates good sightlines to the stage from throughout the hall.

The theater was built in 1926 as part of the High School of Commerce and initially served educational purposes for the school. It later transitioned to different uses before being redeveloped into a cultural venue for public performances and events.
