NEMA is a 37-story residential tower with two connected sections and a glass exterior, located at the intersection of Market and 10th Streets. The complex houses 754 apartments of various sizes along with parking and bicycle storage facilities for residents.
Construction began in 2011 following a four-year delay caused by the 2007-2008 financial crisis. The completion of this residential project marked a turning point for the Mid-Market neighborhood during the city's economic recovery.
The building supports public art installations along Market Street, including the Wall of Good Looks project. These artworks shape the street experience and reflect the connection between residential development and the local creative community.
