Peninsula Temple Sholom features a main sanctuary with modern architecture, educational facilities, and a social hall for community gatherings.
Twenty-two families established the congregation in 1955, initially meeting in a Hillsborough greenhouse before constructing their permanent building in 1961.
The congregation maintains a religious school offering programs for children, teenagers, and adults to learn about Jewish traditions and sacred texts.
Located at 1655 Sebastian Drive, the synagogue provides regular Shabbat services, holiday celebrations, and educational programs throughout the year.
The temple expanded its facilities in 2004 with new construction that included an enhanced school wing and modified social spaces.
