TechCU Arena, Indoor ice rink and sports arena in San Jose, United States
TechCU Arena contains multiple ice surfaces spread across roughly 18,500 square meters (about 200,000 square feet). The main hall seats around 4,200 visitors during hockey games and live performances.
The San Jose city government approved the expansion project in January 2020 after debates about location and scale. The site opened to the public in August 2022 with an official ceremony.
This building serves as home ice for the Barracudas hockey team during the season. The rink also welcomes mixed martial arts bouts and international athletes passing through the Bay Area.
The complex holds twelve executive suites, changing rooms, training spaces, food counters and a merchandise shop for visitors. Bus line 73 stops within walking distance of the main entrance.
The building uses LED lighting to reduce electricity consumption during events. Electric vehicle charging stations are installed across the parking areas for visitors.
